What is your next step after graduation?
James: Getting an internship, then getting into the field.

Where is your hometown and high school?
James: Farmington Hills, MI; I went to Farmington Hills high school.

What has your favorite project you have worked on here at MATRIX?
James: I am currently still training, learning new languages like PHP and Java.

Will this training help with your degree?
James: It will help with my higher level classes.

What is the best part about being a MATRIX employee?
James: The atmosphere.

What are your hobbies outside of work and class?
James: Mixed Martial Arts.

What is your favorite app/video game?
James: Any social media app, and League of Legends.

What is a piece of technology you cannot live without?
James: My phone. I use it for everything, I am connected 24/7.

What is something you wish your smartphone could do?
James: Access my laptop or server or have remote access.

What is a fun fact about yourself many people may not know?
James: I am an Eagle Scout.

What was your final project for that?
James: I built a sensory trail in my hometown.

What is the coolest thing you have ever done/coolest place you have ever been?
James: I’ve been to the White Mountains and I have hiked the Appalachian Trail. I have also been to the Philmont Scout Ranch twice in New Mexico for a two week long backpacking trek.

What is your favorite food?
James: Steak, or meat in general.

Where is your favorite place to eat on campus?
James: Holden, I just stay close to my dorm.

If you could sit down with any historical figure, alive or dead, who would it be?
James: Steve Jobs.

Are you a coffee or a tea person?
James: Neither, I drink energy drinks or pop most.

What is your favorite energy drink?
James: The original Monster.

What is your favorite car?
James: Classic muscle cars from the late 60s to the early 80s.

What is the greatest language?
James: I want to learn German.

What is one thing on campus you want to make sure you do before graduation?
James: Open hack nights and events.

What exactly are those?
James: A group of students get together and work on ideas until they get something physical out there.

What is the piece of advice that has stuck with you the most?
James: Just keep swimming; keep moving forward.
